BERKELEY, Calif. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team headed west for the California Quad, hosted by Cal Berkeley. The Quakers produced a fantastic showing on the biggest stage, finishing with a 195.900, the second highest score they've earned this year. California finished in first with a 197.175. Washington came second with a 196.575, with UC Davis finishing fourth with a 191.175
VAULT – 48.925
When a 48.925 is your worst rotation, you've had a great night. The Quakers gave a consistent effort on the vault, with all five score being between a 9.750 and a 9.825.
Manama Fofana led the way with the latter, with
Sienna Zuccaro and
Jordan Barrow coming in with 9.800's.
BARS – 49.050
The highlight on the night, the bars rotation consisted of four scores of 9.825 or better.
Marissa Lassiter,
Jordan Barrow, and
Sophia Paris came out with that score while
Luci Toczydlowski secured the top spot on the team with a 9.850.
BEAM – 48.950
After Mani Fofana delivered a key performance early in the year with a 9.925,
Maggie Murphy and
Mimi Fletcher matched that with two all-time beam performances. Both scores rank third all-time on the rotation. That score boosted Penn to a near 49 rotation score.
FLOOR – 48.975
The opening rotation, the Quakers set the tone with their second-best score of the night.
Manama Fofana secured a 9.900 on the floor, while
Mimi Fletcher was just behind at a 9.850.
