PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team returned to University City and took down #73 Denver on Sunday at the Hamlin Tennis Center, 6-1.
The Pioneers secured the doubles point after taking two out of three matches to start the day as the Quakers trailed 1-0.
However, Penn was dominant in singles as they swept all six opponents, starting with
Justin Chung's eighth singles win of the season.
Luka Butera and #52
Manfredi Graziani followed with wins in the first and second spots as the Quakers took a 3-1 lead, one away from clinching the match.
Vojtech Vales, per usual, was the deciding win for the Quakers as he took down his opponent in the six spot for his team-leading 12th singles win of the season.
Matthew Rutter put the cherry on top of an impressive win for the Red and Blue as he finished off the day with the final singles win in three sets, completing the singles sweep.
