PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team will be hosting two matches this weekend at the Hecht Tennis Center. On Friday, they will be facing Delaware at 12:30 p.m. and FDU at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Quakers enter the weekend after competing in the ECAC Championships where they advanced to the finals after defeating Dartmouth and Columbia, before falling to Yale in the championship match, bringing the season record to 5-3. The team hopes to get back in the winning column this weekend.

* Penn lost two of three doubles matches against Dartmouth, but won four of six singles matches as they secured the 4-3 win. The Quakers lost two doubles matches against Columbia but again won four of six singles matches, winning again, 4-3. Yale won all three doubles matches and three singles for a final score of 0-4 in the final match.
* Lara Stojanovski performed well in the tournament, not dropping a single match. She delivered Penn's sole doubles win in the tournament with teammate
Varsha Vedula, and she had wins in singles against Dartmouth and Columbia.
* Vedula also had strong performances on the weekend. The freshman had match clinching singles wins against Dartmouth and Columbia, helping the Quakers advance to the final against the Bulldogs.
