PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's squash team swept Dartmouth on Sunday at the Penn Squash Center, earning a share of the Ivy League regular-season title for the third straight year.
Penn has finished the regular season with five straight victories and a 12-2 overall record. The Red and Blue share the Ivy title with Yale, both teams finishing 5-1 in Ancient Eight play.
Omar Hafez defeated Shan Jolly in the No. 1 position, 3-0, as the senior captain earned his 12th win of the season. The victory also made Hafez the all-time wins leader in Penn men's squash program history, with 68.
Salman Khalil and Marwan Abdelsalam added two more sweeps in the second and third positions in the lineup, adding to their illustrious resumes.
Freshmen Alex Dartnell and Will Newman capped off their first regular season with the Quakers with 3-0 wins, while seniors Hao Cui and Rehan Luthra recorded their final wins inside the Penn Squash Center as members of the Red and Blue.
