GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2025-26 schedule on Sunday at the Loyola Intercollegiate. The three-day, 54-hole event is taking place on the par-72 course at Palm Valley Golf Club

Penn shot 2-over-par 290 as a team and is tied with Idaho for 12th place out of 20 teams in the field. The Quakers are one shot out of being in the top ten, with Omaha and Northern Colorado both shooting 289 and ninth-place North Dakota State carding an even-par 288. The host Greyhounds and Richmond lead after Sunday's first round, both shooting 280.

Hayden Adams and freshman
Arjun Caprihan were Penn's low scorers on Sunday, both of them shooting 1-under-par 71 on the Palm Valley course. They are tied for 24th in a field of 119 golfers. Junior

Ryan Chang were the Quakers' other scorers, both of them carding 2-over-par 74, while
Kayden Wang rounded out the lineup at 4-over-par 76.
Wesley Hu is in the field as an individual and finished the day at 3-over-par 75.
Utah Valley's Paxton Maxwell is the individual leader after Sunday's first round; he shot a 7-under-par 65 which left him a stroke ahead of Grand Canyon's Campbell Kerr and two ahead of two other golfers.
Monday's second round and Tuesday's final rounds are scheduled for shotgun starts at 7:45 a.m. local time (9:45 Eastern).
