PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team defeated Harvard in the first round of the ECAC Indoor Championship Tournament, 4-3.

Starting on the doubles side, the fourth-ranked duo of Manfredi Graziani and Aaron Sandler took care of business, taking down Harvard's Benjamin Privara and Nathan Blohkin, 6-3. The pairing of #87 Vales and Bharadwaj did not have the same luck, falling to the Crimson's Murali and Kincses, 6-2. Harvard's MacDonald and Perera took care of Penn's Matthew Rutter and Parashar Bharadwaj, 6-4, to wrap up doubles play and give the first point of the day to the Crimson.

Heading into the singles portion, #46 Graziani squared off against Privara and won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3. Other Quaker wins on the day included, notably, Luke Butera over #34 Rohan Murali in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) and #70 Shaurya Bharadwaj over #27 Nathan Blohkin in straight sets (6-4, 6-2). Freshman Vojtech Vales clinched the winning point, dispatched Marc Ktiri in a third-set tiebreaker (6-0, 2-6, 7-5).
