Women's Tennis Opens Spring Season Monday Against Villanova and Saint Joseph's

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team will kick off their 2026 spring season this Monday, when they will host Villanova and Saint Joseph's in a doubleheader at the Hecht Tennis Center. The Quakers will look to build on a successful 2024-25 season in which they went 12-9, including a 4-2 record against Ivy League rivals. The Quakers are once again led by head coach Sanela Kunovac, who is in her 17th year with the program.

Quaker Notemeal
* The Quakers comparably opened the 2025 spring season against Villanova, defeating the Wildcats 7-0.

*Velaga won the ITA Northeast Regional for the second time in three years. Penn alum Sabine Rutlauka was the winner last season, making it three seasons in a row that a Quaker has been crowned the singles champion of the region.
