PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania fencing programs closed out the Dave Micah Penn Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the Tse Center.

Penn finished the invite with a strong showing, with the #7 men going 4-1 to post a 9-1 overall record, while the #8 women went 5-1 to go 9-3. It was a big outing against Ohio State for the Young Family Head Coach of Fencing, Andy Ma, who claimed his 600th win as a head coach.

The men finished the weekend in University City strong, topping NJIT (24-3), Wagner (19-8), and Ohio State (15-2) to move to 14-3 on the season. The epee athletes put on flawless performances, winning their respective weapons in all matchups overall.

The women won contests over NJIT (22-5), Wagner (15-12), Lafayette (23-4), Yale (16-11), Temple (17-10), and FDU (22-5)  to reach 12 wins on the season.
