PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams will get back into action this weekend as they take on national powerhouse Trinity and Ivy League rival Yale this weekend.
The men's team will face their best opponent yet on Saturday, as Trinity is ranked #2 in the College Squash Association rankings. The women's team will look to snap the nine game losing streak against the Bantams of Trinity as they battle the defending back-to-back national champions. Ivy League play will then begin for both teams on Sunday as they take on rival Yale.

Quaker Notemeal
The No. 1 ranked men's team comes into Saturday's match with an unblemished 7-0 record after previously sweeping Western in their last match.
Omar Hafez,
Salman Khalil and
Alex Dartnell are all ranked in the top 10 of the CSA player standings. The Quakers lead the country in total individual match wins this season with 60. 13 out of 16 players have an undefeated record for the Red and Blue thus far, establishing themselves as the top team in the country.
The No. 2 ranked women's team enters the match after sweeping Georgetown for their seventh win of the year.

Ashna Tumuluri are among the top 10 in the CSA player standings. Penn is one of only two undefeated teams in the country this season. The Quakers have gone undefeated in seven of nine positions this season, including two very impressive wins against #4 Stanford and #6 Virginia this season.
Previewing the Bantams
The Trinity men's team has begun the year with an undefeated 5-0 record, sweeping three out of their five opponents. Senior Benedek Takacs and freshman Segundo Portabales are ranked in the top 10 of the CSA player rankings, each with a 5-0 record on the season. Last time out the Bantams defeated Bowdoin College, 8-1. The team also posted an impressive 9-0 sweep against #11 Tufts earlier this season.
The Lady Bantams remain one of the premier programs in women's college squash as they look to win their third consecutive national championship this season. The team has won five of its first six games to start the year, most recently falling to #3 Stanford last week 4-5. With their 9-0 sweep over Tufts, the team won the NESCAC conference title for the 18th consecutive time. This loss was the first since January 2024 as they had won 18 consecutive matches. Kara Lincou and Doyce Lee lead the team with 5-0 records.
Previewing the Bulldogs
The fifth ranked men's team enters the match with a 2-1 record, having lost to #4 Virginia in their season opener and defeating Drexel and MIT. Senior Tad Carney has won all three of his matches in the first position this season, currently ranking #31 in the CSA men's rankings. Sophomore Rohan Aryan Gondi also has an undefeated 3-0 record for Yale this season. This will be the 23rd all-time match between the Quakers and Bulldogs. Yale has won three in a row with the last Penn win coming in the 2022-23 season.
The eighth ranked women's team has begun the season 1-1 after losing to Virginia in the season opener and defeating Drexel on Dec. 6. Sophomore Heng Wai Wong has followed her First Team All-Ivy selection last year by splitting her first two matches in the first position for the Bulldogs thus far. Sophomore Spring Ma has played both matches in the second position, also splitting her two matches. Yale leads 15-13 in the all-time series vs. the Quakers, with Penn taking the last match in an 8-1 win at the Penn Squash Center last year. Before that, Yale had won seven straight against the Red and Blue dating back to the 2017-18 season.
