TULSA, OK. – Manfredi Graziani and
Aaron Sandler of the University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team secured a top 10 win yesterday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Doubles Championships, defeating Timofey Stepanov and Tiago Silva of California, 3-6, 7-5, 10-5.
The win is a big one for the Quakers, as it represents the first top 10 win and second top 50 win of the year for the Graziani/Sandler duo. Graziani and Sandler entered the year as the 67th ranked doubles team, according to the ITA preseason poll, and stand to move up even further when the next poll is released on November 26.
The doubles team is off to a great start this season and will look to keep it rolling as they square off against #9 Bruno Nhavene and Oscar Lacides of Oklahoma today at 4:30 p.m.
