CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The 14th-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team wrapped up racing at the Ivy League Championship on Sunday. The two-day event took place on the Cooper River.
All five boats were in the grand finals on Sunday. The Varsity Eight met its pre-race seed, finishing fifth, but the Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four fell short of their seeds in taking sixth-place finishes. The Third Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Four were also sixth-place finishers on Sunday.

"The Ivies were a Jekyll and Hyde Regatta for us this weekend," said Penn's head coach,
Bill Manning. "Yesterday, all of our boats raced very well in their heats—finishing top three, mostly top two—and earning qualification for the A Finals. Today we raced hard but not as well. The Varsity defeated Harvard and equaled its seeding, but the other boats struggled to find their traction and just missed their seed.
"We are a bubble team for NCAA selection on Tuesday, but I believe strongly that our body of work this month and last gives us confidence that we will not only race at the Championships but be competitive."
Senior
Brooke Caragher was named first-team All-Ivy following Sunday's racing, while classmate
Hannah Lemanowicz was a second-team All-Ivy selection.
