KINGSTON, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team took fifth place out of ten teams at the Roar-EE Invitational on Saturday. The 36-hole event was hosted by Columbia on the par-72 course at Wiltwyck Golf Club.

Penn shot 293 on Saturday morning and followed that up with a 296 in the afternoon, finishing the day at 13-over-par 589. St. Thomas Aquinas (STAC) was the team champion, finishing the day at 578 which left them two shots ahead of Lafayette (580). Among the other Ivy League teams in the field, Dartmouth (581) finished third, tourney host Columbia (591) was sixth, and Cornell (596) was seventh.
Sophomore
Hayden Adams was Penn's low scorer on Saturday, shooting a first-round 68 and a second-round 75 to end the day at 1-under-par 143. That left him seventh in a field of 68 golfers. Of note, Adams tied for second in the field with nine birdies and tied for third in par-4 scoring (4.00).
Ryan Chang was in the field as an individual but shot even-par 72 in both rounds Saturday to tie for eighth place, and tied for second in par-5 scoring (4.38). Sophomore
Max Fonseca and senior
Ben Scott both shot 148 on the day and finished tied for 18th.
Owen Hayes, in the field as an individual, shot 1-under-par 71 in the morning round and ended the day tied for 23rd at 149. He joined Adams in tying for third in par-4 scoring (4.00). Junior
Steven Lee scored for the Quakers in the morning with a 74 and finished tied for 28th at 150.
Wesley Hu played the day as an individual and ended the day at 151, while
George Roessler shot 154.
Dartmouth's Tyler Brand and STAC's Nolan Skaggs tied as individual medalists, both of them shooting 66 in the morning and 72 in the afternoon to finish the day at 6-under-par 138. That left them four shots ahead of four other golfers.

Penn will tee it up at the Ivy League Championship next Friday through Sunday. This year's 54-hole championship event is taking place at Rolling Green Golf Club in nearby Springfield, Pa.
