UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania women's fencing team finished the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Fencing Championships on Sunday afternoon at Penn State University.
Penn ended the four-day tournament in eighth place off the combined performances from the men's and women's teams.
Sophomore
Victoria Kuznetsov led the charge for the Quakers after the final day of the championships, sitting 13th in the epee field off an 11-for-23 outing. Senior
Sabrina Cho and
Katina Proestakis Ortiz finished in the top 24 in foil, with Cho holding 14th (10-23) and Proestakis Ortiz landing 22nd (6-23). In the saber field,
Leah Blum finished in 21st, ending the tournament 7-for-22.
