#5 Women's Squash Closes Regular Season Campaign with a Win at #10 Drexel

PHILADELPHIA— The fifth-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's squash team closed out their regular season schedule tonight with a win over No. 10 Drexel.

With their win tonight, the Quakers have completed their regular season schedule with a 13-3 record, marking the fourth time they have won at least 13 matches in the last ten years (2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17). Tonight's result also marked their third straight win over the Dragons, extending their series dominance to 11-4.

The women made quick work of their opponents, all nine matches finishing in under an hour. Sohaila Ismail put the first point on the board, needing only 23 minutes to sweep Emma Bartley. Hailey Wong finished a few moments later, putting the Quakers up by two after a three-game bout with Claudia Adam. Savannah Ingledew took game three over Emilia Falconi after 31 minutes, and Natasha Pensler maintained the team's clean sheet in game four after 37 minutes.

The second wave picked up where the first wave left off. Franka Vidovic needed only 24 minutes to clinch the match for the Red and Blue with a three-game sweep over Moa Bonnemark. Allie Stoddard was then bested by Amirah Rusydina Rosli, putting the Dragons on the board. Captain Jana Dweek quickly made up the deficit, sweeping her match over Lydia Robinson in 27 minutes. Emma Carter battled through an injury, but ultimately fell to Eveli Mälk, giving the Dragons their second point of the night. Senior Emma Wolf finished the night with a strong win over Maddison Laine, winning game four after 43 minutes to close out the win for Penn.
