*The teams were neck-and-neck in draw controls, with Penn coming out on top with a 15-14 advantage.

How It Happened
The Dragons struck first in the title battle, as Drexel's Anna Maria Gragnani got on the board during the 11:32 mark of the first. Not even a minute later, midfielder Brandt scored the Quakers' first goal of the 2025 season to tie things up, and Paige Lipman followed six minutes later to give Penn its first lead at 2-1. Quickly after Lipman's goal, Drexel answered to push the score even to end the first.

Senior Brandt opened the second with energy, scoring her second and final of the game, but Drexel struck right back to keep the game tied at three. The Quakers tallied back-to-back goals from Block and Berkery with 11 minutes to go in the first to lead by a pair of tallies. Bridget Finley scored the Dragons' final goal of the second period off a free position shot with 8:46 left. Block ended the scoring in the half with her second of the day, pushing Penn ahead 6-4 at the break.

Block stayed hot after the break, scoring the Red and Blue's first hat trick of the year three minutes into the second half. Attacker Chung accepted a feed from Berkery two minutes later to lengthen Penn's lead to 8-4. The Dragons retaliated with a two-goal run that stretched to the 7:34 mark of the third, but the Quakers held strong, as Block and Berkery added goals to the board to put the score at 10-6 with 3:36 left of the period.

Both offenses were not finished as Drexel hit the back of Sedransk's net two more times in the third, while Block scored her fifth and final in the game to keep the battle close at 11-8 heading into the fourth.
Berkery opened the final quarter with the Quakers' second hat trick in the outing, followed by exchanged goals from Drexel's Gragnani and Chung, putting the game at 13-9 with 11:28 left. With less than seven minutes to go, both teams continued their offensive sparks as freshman Lela Greene netted her first goal before the Dragons added two more to the board to trail by a trio with 2:39 left.

Luckily for Penn, senior Gracie Smith slammed a free position shot past goalkeeper Jenika Cuocco to push the battle to its final tally of 15-11.
