PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team will host the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m in their third consecutive home match at the Penn Squash Center.
Penn jumped up a spot in the College Squash Association's team ranking after defeating top ranked opponents in #3 Stanford and #6 Virginia last time out.

Quaker Notemeal
The No. 2 ranked Quakers had two impressive wins against #3 Stanford and #6 Virginia before the holiday break as they enter Friday's match red hot. Penn holds an undefeated 6-0 record on the season, sweeping four of its six opponents.
Malak Khafagy has won all four of her starts in the first position of the lineup including wins against Stanford and Virginia's top players. Team captain
Franka Vidovic leads the team with five wins in five starts in the first and second positions. The Quakers are currently undefeated in the top five positions of the lineup. Sohalia Ismail got off to a hot start in her first two matches of the season, defeating both opponents in the three spot for Penn last time out. Penn has won both matches against Georgetown over the last two seasons, blanking the Hoyas twice.
Previewing the Hoyas
The No. 14 Hoyas enter Friday's match with a 2-1 record. The team was swept against #9 Drexel last time out, after defeating Denison and Bowdoin to start the season. Sophomore Cici Curran picked wins in the two position against Denison and the one position against Bowdoin. Junior Mary Kacergis began her season with back-to-back wins in the three spot. The Hoyas return 12 players from last season in which they won the Kurtz Cup at the CSA Divisional Championships.
