Penn Releases 2025-26 Track & Field Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania track and field program announced its 2025-26 season on Wednesday, featuring seven indoor meets at the Jane and David Ott Center for Track and Field. 

The Quakers return six indoor and seven outdoor individual conference champions from the 2024-25 season. 2025 FISU World University Games 400m silver medalist, Ryan Matulonis returns to the Quakers for his junior season. Matulonis placed 15th in the 400m hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 50.75. He was first in the 400m hurdles at the Ivy Heptagonal Outdoor Championships clocking in a meet record and personal-best time of 49.54, he also claimed first in the 4x400m. 

During the indoor season, Matulonis placed first in the 500m at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships with a time of 1:02.01. 

Senior Kampton Kam took eighth in high jump at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships at 2.15m (7' 0.5"). Kam was second at the Ivy Heps clearing the bar at 2.22m (7' 3.25"). At the Penn Relays, he took home his first watch, finishing first in high jump at 2.20m (7.25"). Kam broke the outdoor Singaporean National Record jumping over the bar set at 2.25m (7' 4.5") at the South Florida Invitational. 

He finished 12th at the NCAA Indoor Championships at a height of 2.11m (6' 11"), and first at the Ivy Heps clearing 2.21m (7' 3"). 

Men's 2024-25 Individual Champions: Ryan Matulonis (500m - Indoors, 400m Hurdles - Outdoors), Kampton Kam (High Jump - Indoors), Jake Rose (Heptagonal - Indoors, Decathlon - Outdoors), Shane Gardner (60m Hurdles - Indoors), Nayyir Newash-Campbell (400m - Outdoors), and Atticus Soehren (Javelin - Outdoors). 

Three-time indoor 60m, and outdoor 100m champion, Moforehan Abinusawa returns for her senior year with the Quakers women's team. Abinusawa placed first in the 60m dash at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships with a time of 7.26, one one-hundredth off from her Ivy record set in 2024 (7.25).

She claimed gold in the 100m (11.39) and 4x400m relay during the outdoor championships in New Haven, Conn. She was 14th in the 100m at the NCAA East Regional recording a time of 11.30. 

Senior Angeludi Asaah made her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships placing 23rd in discus with a mark of 50.33m (165' 1"). Asaah won the shot put event at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships putting 15.72m (51' 7"). 

Women's 2024-25 Individual Champions: Fore Abinusawa (60m - Indoors, 100m - Outdoors), Angeludi Asaah (Shot Put - Indoors), Chikaodinaka Akazi (100m H - Outdoors), Zofia Limbert (High Jump - Outdoors). 

2025 - 2026 Penn Track and Field Schedule
Quakers will kick off the new season in Philadelphia at the Ott Center on Dec. 5-6 hosting the Penn Opener. The two-day invitational will begin on Dec. 5 with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon. 

Penn will then return from winter break to host four consecutive home weekend meets, starting the new year with the Penn Select on Jan. 10, followed by the Quaker Invitational on Jan. 17. The Penn 10 Elite, Jan. 22-24, will feature a highly competitive field with athletes traveling to Penn from Penn State, Georgetown, UConn, Villanova, Brown, BYU, Princeton, Howard, Wisconsin, Navy, and Army.  The Penn Invitational is set for Jan. 30 at the Ott Center. 

The Quakers will then travel to Lubbock, Texas on Jan. 30 -31 to compete at the Stan Scott Invitational. 
In February, Penn will host the Penn Classic on Feb. 6-7 and the Philadelphia Metro on Feb. 20. The Philadelphia Metro will provide a tune-up opportunity for athletes before entering the championship season. 
The team will part ways on Feb. 13-14 competing at the Tiger Pax Invitational in Clemson, S.C. and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass.
