LANCASTER, Pa — The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team rounded out the opening weekend of the season with two wins against Chatham and Drexel in a doubleheader, ultimately winning the Pennsylvania State Championship.
 
The Quakers swept all four of their opponents this weekend, proving why they were ranked as the #3 team in the College Squash Association's preseason poll. 
 
Sophomore Savannah Ingledew recorded a "triple bagel" against Chatham's Sarah Secco (11-0, 11-0, 11-0).
 
Sophomore Allie Stoddard was also dominant in her match against Chatham, defeating Sofia Pinto Combita (11-1, 11-1, 11-1).
 
After sweeping Chatham on Sunday morning, the Quakers faced intercity rival Drexel immediately after.
 
The Red and Blue showed no signs of fatigue as they once again recorded a 9-0 sweep against the Dragons.
 
Freshman Sasha Bauhs defeated Ariyan Irani of Drexel in a match in which she won 17-15 in the second set.
 
Junior captain Franka Vidovic won both of her matches on the day, defeating Chatham's Clara Braga and Drexel's Emma Bartley in three sets.
 
Penn finished the weekend with a 4-0 record, defeating Haverford, Franklin and Marshall, Chatham and Drexel.
