Men’s and Women’s Squash Sweeps F&M, Improves to 2-0

LANCASTER, Pa — The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams swept Franklin and Marshall, 9-0, in both matches.
 
Both teams have begun the season in dominant fashion, sweeping back-to-back opponents.
 
This is the third consecutive season in which the women's team has won the first two matches in 9-0 shutouts, and the second consecutive season for the men's team.
 
Freshman Alexander Dartnell secured his first collegiate win for the Quakers, defeating F&M's Akshat Agarwal (11-2, 11-4, 11-8).
 
Team captain Omar Hafez and junior Kyle Penman won their matches convincingly, recording their second individual wins of the season.
 
Allie Stoddard, Anne Leakey, Sasha Bauhs, Paola Lincou, Nitza Kahlon and Charlotte Oh won their second matches of the year for the women's team.
 
Both teams will head into tomorrow's matches with 2-0 undefeated records.

The women's team will compete against Chatham at 10:30 am and face intercity rival Drexel at noon.
