How it Happened
The Quakers outshot the Big Red 3-1 in the first quarter as they began the game with aggression.

Goalie Jane McNally recorded a pair of saves in the opening quarter, negating the Penn offense from taking a lead.

With no goals scored by either team at the end of the first quarter, both teams looked to take the  advantage in the second quarter.

Cornell did just that, as Uma Kading scored the first goal of the game for either team early in the second quarter.

Penn could not capitalize off of a corner, as the Quakers entered the second half down by one.

The Quakers were unsuccessful in tying the game up in the third quarter as McNally recorded another save.

Finally after a scoring drought that lasted over 56 minutes, Honor Roberts and Julia Ryan scored back-to-back goals in the final four minutes as the Quakers took a 2-1 lead.

However, Cornell quickly countered as Julia Ramsey tied the game with under two minutes left sending the game to overtime

Both teams had opportunities to win the game in the first overtime, but goalies McNally and Ruby de Frees held strong, recording a combined five saves.

The second overtime once again ended in a tie as the game went to a shoot out.

The Big Red secured the 3-2 win after outscoring the Quakers 3-2 in strokes.
