PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team sent members to the Saint Joseph's Invite this weekend. The Quakers were one of many teams at the meet, including the host Hawks, NJIT, Temple, Villanova, Delaware, Drexel, Swarthmore, Chestnut Hill, Haverford, and Thomas Jefferson University.

The Quakers performed very well, which included sophomore Sunjeev Chundu winning the singles portion of the event. Chundu received a first-round bye before defeating Federico Garbero (Delaware), Santiago Valle-Saenz (SJU), and Soma Fukuhara (NJIT) on his way to the championship.

Sophomore Stephan Gershfeld saw his first action of the season, going 1-1 in singles.

Overall, the Quakers went 5-2 in singles play and 0-3 in doubles play.
