BOSTON - The University of Pennsylvania men's heavyweight rowing program opened the fall portion of its season on Sunday at the prestigious Head of the Charles.

The Quakers had two boats in the Men's Championship Eights division. The Red and Blue's 'A' boat was unable to finish its race due to a mechanical issue with its boat and took a DNF, while the 'B' boat took 23rd out of 29 boats in the division covering the three-mile course in 14:21.120.
