Anthony Gargano to Headline Penn Baseball’s Dinner on the Diamond Celebration

PHILADELPHIA – Ahead of the annual Dinner on the Diamond and celebration of 150 years of Penn Baseball on Saturday, February 15, the Penn Champions Club and the University of Pennsylvania baseball team announced that Anthony Gargano, one of Philadelphia's most prominent sports voices, will serve as the event's featured speaker.
 
Known for his passion for Philadelphia sports and storytelling, Gargano will share his unique insights and experiences, bringing an extra layer of excitement to this historic celebration.
 
Beginning with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. in the Coach Dave Micahnik Fencing Center, this special event will bring together alumni, parents, friends of the program, and the current Penn Baseball team to celebrate 150 years of Penn Baseball and honor the milestones of their championship teams.
 
The 1975 EIBL champions, the 1990 and 1995 Ivy League champions, and the other four Ivy League Championship teams that have defined the program's proud legacy are set to be honored at this event.

About Anthony Gargano
Anthony L. Gargano is a 35-year broadcaster, writer and content producer, currently the creator of PHLY, a digital channel part of the ALLCITY network that covers Philadelphia sports. He also hosts a weekly show on Fox Sports Radio and is a contributor on Good Day Philadelphia.
 
Gargano has hosted daily radio shows in Philadelphia since 2000 on 94 WIP and 97.5 The Fanatic and was a writer/journalist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Post and Associated Press in Chicago.
 
He has published three books and two screenplays. He has served as a sports anchor for Fox 29 and has written for several websites and magazines, also appearing on radio and TV across all major networks, including ESPN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CNN.
 
He's appeared in movies, television shows and commercials, including Adam Sandler's "Hustle". He also recently launched a youth sports platform called "Yo Kid! Sports," inspired by his two sons, Anthony Jr., 15, and Massimo, 11.
