Fencing Wraps Up Philadelphia Invite With Eight Wins

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania fencing programs wrapped up the Philadelphia Invitational at the Tse Center on Sunday afternoon.
 
Penn had a stellar out on the final, with the men and the women winning four battles each to end the tournament with 16 total victories.
 
The #7 men had a solid outing in University City, topping Haverford (23-4), NJIT (20-7), Lafayette (22-5), and Wagner (18-9) to account for their wins on the final day of competition. The Red and Blue ended the Philadelphia Invite with nine total wins to shift to 15-3 on the season.
 
The #7 women were also fierce on the strips today, edging out Haverford (23-4), NJIT (26-1), FDU (21-6), and Wagner (15-12) to end the tournament with seven wins to move to 13-6 on the year.
