The Penn vs. Temple Series
*The Quakers lead this series with 24 wins going into their 41st battle with the Owls.

*These teams haven't met since the 2022 season, when the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

*In the six previous matchups in the last ten years, Penn has outscored Temple 7-5 in goals.

The Penn vs. Fordham Series
*The Rams will have a slight edge heading into Monday's bout, winning the first match in series history last season, 2-1. Forward Stas Korzeniowski scored the Quakers' sole goal in the game.

Quaker Notemeal
*Penn enters the weekend ranked #25 in the nation announced by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) earlier this week. The Red and Blue are the sole Ivy League schools ranked in the top 25.

*The Quakers are coming off a stunning 1-0 victory over nationally ranked Pitt this past Sunday. Forward Jack Wagoner scored the game-winner to account for his first collegiate goal. Goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III was a brick wall in the crease, stopping both of Pitt's shots to earn his first collegiate win and shutout.

*The ranked win over the Panthers marks Penn's first since the 2009 season when the Quakers topped #20 Brown 1-0 in Providence.

*Sophomore Falcon and junior Wagoner swept the Ivy League men's soccer weekly awards announced this past Monday, with Falcon landing Defensive Player of the Week and Wagoner earning Offensive Player of the Week. The weekly awards were career firsts for both Falcon and Wagoner.

*Many fresh faces hit the pitch in last weekend's match, as Marco Bottene, Connor DawsonOwen Sullivan, and Pierce Wagner made their collegiate debuts against Pitt.

*Penn landed the top spot in the 2024 Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll announced by the conference earlier this week. The Quakers earned the favored spot with 115 points and seven first-place votes after ending last season as the Ivy League regular season champions with a 4-1-2 league record.

*The Red and Blue returned seven starters to the field this season, including All-Ivy honorees Leo Burney, forward Korzeniowski, and Ben Do, along with Phillip Falcon III, Charlie Gaffney, Aaron Messer, and Oliver Pratt.

*Seniors Burney and Korzeniowski are set to pick up where they left off last season, with Burney being named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Defenders to Watch List and Korzeniowski to the USC Forwards to Watch List.

Scouting the Owls
*The Owls bring a 1-1-2 record into Friday's meeting, most recently drawing 0-0 with American on Monday.

*Forward Xavier Rimple ranks second in assists for the AAC and fifth in conferences for goals scored in a game.

*Rimpel and Charlie Votel earned AAC weekly awards for their performances in Temple's matches last week. Votel warranted Freshman of the Week, while Votel landed Offensive Player of the Week.

*Goalkeeper Flannan Riley is forecasted to start for the Cherry and White. Riley has started two matches in goal, tallying five saves and two goals allowed.

Scouting the Rams
*Fordham carries a two-game win streak into this weekend's competition after topping Sacred Heart 2-1 and Colgate 3-2 last week.

*The Rams battle Santa Clara in the Bronx on Thursday night before heading to University City for the battle on Monday night.

*Forward Daniel Lang was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after scoring his first collegiate goal against the Pioneers last week.
