How It Happened
Senior Stas Korzeniowski started this offensive outing early, firing one right at Manhattan's Ludvig Malberg in the third minute. The Jaspers did not get an offensive chance till the 14th minute when Henry Hamilton slammed one that was blocked before it could reach Falcon. A minute later, Brandon Curran took an opportunity on a long shot from the green that was ultimately saved.

Penn needed only one more opportunity to get one past Malberg as sophomore Jeremiah scored his second of the season in the 21st minute to break the scoreless tie.

The Jaspers tried to answer Jeremiah's goal as Felipe Arruda had two blocked shots in the 28th and 44th minutes to close out the offense in the first half.

Junior Erickson Sakalosky got two early second half attempts with back-to-back shots in the 51st minute, but both were stopped by the defense before they could do damage.

Manhattan's Hamilton got another go-ahead pass in the 59th minute, but goalkeeper Falcon made his first save of the night to hold the game at 1-0. The Jaspers tried two consecutive shots in the 67th minute from John Bernardi and Nassim Akki, but Falcon held strong to bump his save total to three.

The Quakers didn't have another offensive attempt till the 81st minute when Korzeniowski and Patrick Cayelli had back-to-back shots in the 81st minute that Malberg saved to keep the deficit at one.

In the final five minutes of play, both teams exploded offensively, as Korzeniowski tried another shot to hit the goal post, followed immediately by Sebastiano Musu, whose shot was blocked to keep the Jaspers off the board and give Penn its fourth shutout and fifth win of 2024.
