HAMILTON, N.Y. - The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team tied for sixth out of 15 teams at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial tournament, which took place Saturday and Sunday at Colgate University's Seven Oaks Golf Club. The tournament was originally scheduled for 54 holes but got shortened to 36 after rain stopped play on Saturday.

Penn shot 6-over-par as a team in both Saturday's and Sunday's rounds, ending the weekend at 12-over-par 588. That tied the Quakers with Bucknell. Navy and Seton Hall tied for first to share the team title, both the Middies and the Pirates finishing the weekend at 3-under-par 573. Among the other Ivy League teams in the field, Yale was third (579, +3) and Cornell was 14th (621, +45).
Individually, sophomore
Max Fonseca was the Red and Blue's low scorer on the weekend as he finished at 2-under-par 142. That left him tied for sixth in a field of 97 golfers who played in the event. Fonseca posted a first-round 70 and matched par on Sunday with a 72.
Playing in his first collegiate tournament, freshman
Wesley Hu tied for 36th at 5-over-par 149, followed closely by senior
Ben Scott who finished the weekend at 150. Junior
Steven Lee carded a two-round 153, followed closely by sophomore
Hayden Adams who shot 154 for the weekend. Junior
Owen Hayes rounded out Penn's lineup in the six-play, four-score event, shooting a two-round 157. Freshman
Ryan Chang also was in the field, playing as an individual, and finished the weekend at 156.
Villanova's Ryan Pamer was the individual medalist, finishing the weekend at 6-under-par 138 which was a stroke ahead of SHU's David Lally and Yale's Matthew Lin.
