The Quakers earned an at-large bid into the NCAA field after a strong showing at the Ivy Championships, which took place on Saturday and Sunday. Penn's Varsity Eight—which took a best-ever second at Ivies for the second straight season—is seeded sixth in its field of 22 boats, the Second Varsity Eight is seeded 16th, while the Varsity Four is seeded 15th.
This will be the third straight year Penn is competing at the NCAAs with a full complement of boats, two Eights and a Four. Prior to 2022, the Quakers had a Four row at the Championship in 1998.
Penn is one of four Ivy League teams in the field. Princeton earned the Ivy's automatic bid while Brown and Yale join the Quakers as three of the 11 at-large teams.
