PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania track & field teams had a successful start to the weekend. The teams are at two meets this weekend, the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton and the Tom Jones Memorial at the University of Florida.

Â
*Back in Florida, freshman Ryan Matulonis won the men's 400 hurdles, his time of 50.86 seconds moving him up to fourth in program history.
Â
*In the men's pole vault (Invite), James Rhoads and Scott Toney went second and third behind Kentucky's Keaton Daniel. Both topped out at 5.40 meters (17 feet 8.5 inches), which is a PR for Toney and keeps him fourth on program's top 10 list.
