PHILADELPHIA – Notching its highest home team score in program history, the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team put forth a tremendous effort, outscoring Temple, 195.075-194.075, to pick up the Senior Meet victory Friday evening at The Palestra.

The Quakers had never scored higher than 195.000 at The Palestra prior to Friday, snapping a score of 194.800 against William & Mary last season.

VAULT | Penn 48.900
Penn finished up the rotation nicely with three straight scores of 9.8 and above.
Kiersten Belkoff notched a 9.825 to lead the way, followed by marks of 9.800 for
Jordan Barrow and
Skyelar Kerico.
Zara Gazdak tallied a 9.750 while
Isabel Song came in fifth with a score of 9.725.

BARS | Penn 48.375
Sophia Paris continued a strong start to her freshman campaign with a 9.850 on uneven bars. Anchoring the rotation, Kerico closed out the event with a 9.750.

BEAM | Penn 48.600
Kerico had another solid effort on balance beam with a score of 9.775, while Belkoff and
Samantha Wu posted identical scores of 9.750.

FLOOR | Penn 49.200
The top rotation of the night, Penn was highlighted by four scores of 9.800 or higher.
Marissa Lassiter and
Emma Davies rocked the conclusion with matching scores of 9.875.
Ana Kenefick posted a career-high score of 9.850 with a 9.825 for Kerico.
Sara Kenefick rounded out the field in fifth place (9.775). Â

*Penn totaled its best team score at home in program history (195.025), surpassing its 194.800 last season against W&M.
*The team's performance on floor exercise (49.200) was its second-best of the season, and highest since Jan. 14 at GW (49.300).
*
Kiersten Belkoff took the vault title (9.825), while
Skyelar Kerico and
Jordan Barrow (9.800) tied for second place with two others.
*
Sophia Paris tied with Temple's Sarah Stallings for the win on bars (9.850). Kerico took fifth with a score of 9.750.
*Kerico placed fourth (9.775) on balance beam while Belkoff and
Samantha Wu tied for fifth (9.750).
*On floor exercise,
Marissa Lassiter and
Emma Davies tied for second with scores of 9.875, as
Ana Kenefick took fourth (9.850) and Kerico in fifth (9.825).
*Kerico was the meet's only all-arounder, totaling a 39.150.
