PHILADELPHIA – Less than two months away from defending its third straight Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) regular season and tournament championships, the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team announced its 2025 schedule on Tuesday.
The Quakers will host three meets, including the GEC Championships, with the season officially starting on Sunday, Jan. 5.
The Red and Blue begins action on the road against in-state rival Penn State in a tri-meet with the University of New Hampshire.
The Quakers are back on the road the following weekend, traveling to New Brunswick, N.J. for a quad meet against Rutgers, Towson and West Chester on Saturday, Jan. 11.
The first home meet of the season will be Penn's Senior Meet on Friday, Jan. 17. The quad meet features Towson, Yale and Ursinus.
Penn wraps up January with a trip to George Washington for the Lindsay Ferris Invite with Yale and Fisk University.
The first dual meet of the season will be at Cornell on Sunday, Feb. 2. Penn then returns to Philadelphia on February 8, making the short trip to North Broad to face Temple. The Quakers then travel to New Haven, Conn. on February 15 to take on Southern Connecticut State University in a GEC dual meet.
Following the SCSU dual meet is the Ivy Classic on Sunday, Feb. 23. This year's event will be hosted by Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y.
Three straight meets away from home follow — UNC (Friday, Feb. 28), Towson (Tuesday, March 4) and William & Mary (Saturday, March 8) — before the Red and Blue return to The Palestra on Friday, March 14 to face West Virginia.
The Quakers will look to defend their crown on Saturday, March 22 when they host the GEC Championship at the Palestra.
Penn is coming off a de facto treble from last year, winning the Ivy Classic, GEC regular season and GEC Championships. The Red and Blue return five first-team and three second-team All-GEC selections from last season including the GEC Gymnast of the Year, junior
Skyelar Kerico.
