PHILADELPHIA — The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team, ranked third in the CSA, will open its season this weekend with a full schedule, playing five matches.
The Quakers will travel to Lancaster to play Franklin & Marshall at 1 p.m. on Friday. They will then return home to host Haverford at 10 a.m. and Drexel at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, Penn will face Dickinson at 9 a.m. and Chatham at 1 p.m.

Previewing Penn:
Head coach
Jack Wyant, now in his 20th season with the Red and Blue, led the team to an 11-6 overall record last season, including a 9-1 mark at the Penn Squash Center. Reflecting on the upcoming season, Wyant shared, "The culture has been amazing so far this year; the effort at practice and the bonding have been outstanding."

The Quakers will rely on several strong returners, including sophomore
Sohaila Ismail, who earned All-Ivy honors in her first season with a 9-6 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Ivy play. Other notable returners include:

Hailey Wong — who will compete for starting positions throughout the season.
