The Penn vs Hofstra Series
*Hofstra holds the sole win in the all-time series, winning 1-0 last year in Hempstead.
*This battle marks the first in the series at University City.
Quaker Notemeal
*The Quakers fell a bit in last week's NCAA men's soccer rankings, heading into the matchup as the #25 team in the country.
*Penn faces its second ranked opponent this season in the #14 Pride. The Quakers opened the year with a 1-0 win over #3 Pittsburgh to account for the other ranked bout.
*The Red and Blue stayed undefeated in Ivy League play this past weekend, shutting out Harvard 1-0 in Cambridge on Saturday.

Phillip Falcon III is a force in the league, leading the conference in shutouts per game (6), save percentage (.800), and goals-against average (.556).
*Forward Korzeniowski sits second among the Ivies in shots on goal (2.44) and shots (41).

Leo Burney have had a strong presence in all nine matches, playing the full 810 minutes.
*The Quakers sit tied for first with Princeton in the Ivy League standings with undefeated 2-0 records.
*Penn landed the top spot in the 2024 Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll announced back in August. The Quakers earned the favored spot with 115 points and seven first-place votes after ending last season as the Ivy League regular season champions with a 4-1-2 league record.
Scouting the Pride
*Hofstra is coming off a 5-4 loss to Drexel this past Saturday.
*Jacob Woznicki leads the Pride with six goals and 14 points.
*The Quakers will probably face Filippo Dadone in goal on Tuesday. The goalkeeper has started in all 11 matches for Hofstra, holding a 0.732 save percentage and a 1.00 GAA.
