Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at ITA Regional

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional, which is being held at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Centers.

Manfredi Graziani, who entered the singles side as the Regional's seventh seed, advanced all the way to the quarterfinal round before losing to Columbia's Nicolas Kotzen, who entered the event ranked 74th nationally and was the Regional's second seed. Graziani fought in both sets, forcing the second set to a tiebreaker before falling 7-5, 7-6(4).
 
Baylor Sai and Matthew Rutter were set to play Columbia's second-seeded duo of Kotzen and Max Westphal in the Round of 16 Doubles after two strong wins over the weekend, but the Quakers duo was forced to withdraw after Rutter sustained an injury during warmups.
