Penn Wrestling Announces 2023-24 Schedule; Season Tickets On Sale!

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team will host six home dual meets at The Palestra, including a visit from last year's NCAA runner-up Iowa, as part of an exciting 2023-24 schedule which was announced on Thursday morning. In addition, season tickets for the upcoming campaign are now on sale.

"For the second straight season we will have one of the toughest schedules in the country," Bryan Pearsall, the Joshua J. Harris Associate Head Coach said. "We're excited for the opportunities our wrestlers will have to compete with some of the nation's top competitors from both in conference and out of conference. We are returning an experienced team including six previous NCAA qualifiers and two All-Americans but expect to see a few new faces in the lineup this season. We will be tested early and often. Our athletes will step up and face these challenges head on. There is no question this schedule will prepare us for both team and individual success in March."

The PRTC Keystone Classic will once again take place at The Palestra on November 19 and the Quakers will host Iowa, Rutgers, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell and Morgan State.

In total, the Red and Blue will compete in 11 dual meets in addition to trips to the Journeyman Collegiate Classic, Patriot Open, Midlands and the F&M Open. All sights are set on the EIWA Championships, hosted by Bucknell, and the NCAA Championships in Kansas City.

As mentioned earlier, Season Ticket renewals are now live with Mini-Plans, Groups, and Single ticket sales to follow at a later date. Please follow @PennWrestling and @PennTickets on Instagram and Twitter for more information.

A FEW NOTES ON THE 2023-24 PENN WRESTLING SCHEDULE
*The annual PRTC Keystone Classic in The Palestra will be the first time to get a look at the 2023-24 Quakers in action in Philadelphia. Joining Penn this season will be Drexel, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Utah Valley, Sacred Heart, Appalachian State, Duke, F&M, and Harvard.

*Penn will host Iowa in the fifth overall meeting between the two programs. It will complete a home-and-home series with the 24-time NCAA National Champion Hawkeyes that started last year.

*The Quakers return to Midlands after taking second last season. Seven Penn wrestlers reached the podium and the program's 68 wins were more than any other team.

*Penn and Rutgers will meet for the second straight season after battling at the Garden State Grapple last December. The two programs have met 32 times dating back to 1932.

*North Carolina and Penn are squaring off for the sixth time ever in the return trip from a home-and-home that began last season. Penn has defeated UNC in all five of the previous meetings, including a 19-17 victory for the Quakers at the Palestra last season.

*Penn will compete against six EIWA opponents: Lehigh (1/19), Columbia (1/28), Brown (2/3), Harvard (2/4), Cornell (2/10), and Princeton (2/17).

*The regular season concludes with Senior Day at The Palestra on February 23 against Morgan State.
