PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team has one final tune-up ahead of the Ivy League Championship, which this year takes place Sunday, May 14 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. That test comes Saturday, when the Quakers make the short trip North to face one of its Ancient Eight foes, Princeton.
Penn's Varsity Eight enters Saturday's racing with the No. 8 national ranking in the latest Pocock/CRCA Coaches Poll, which was released earlier this week. Princeton, meanwhile, is ranked first after defeating No. 1 Texas—in the process ending the Longhorns' 22-race win streak—and No. 3 Yale last Saturday on Lake Carnegie.
