HANOVER, N.H. – The University of Pennsylvania softball team was walked off at Dartmouth on Saturday morning after retaking lead in the seventh inning. The Big Green rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to complete the walk off victory.
FINAL: Dartmouth 5, Penn 4
The Quakers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Madi Bauerle led off the game with a four-pitch walk and then scored on an inning ending sac fly double play.
The Big Green tied the game in the bottom of the first on a solo shot to left field. In the bottom of the third, the same batter hit a two-run shot to give the home team a 3-1 lead.
The Quakers got on back in the top of the fourth as
Julia Mortimer reached on a fielder's choice that allowed
Brianna Brown to score from third.
Katie Reagan reached on a fielding error in the top of the sixth that allowed
Jade Montgomery to score from second on the dropped ball in center field.
Sarah Schneider gave the Quakers a 4-3 lead on a RBI base hit up the middle in the top of the seventh.
The Big Green scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to complete the three-game sweep.

- The Penn pitchers combined for four strike outs, tied for the second most on the season.
