Gymnastics Scores 194.475 in Regular Season Finale at Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team closed out its regular season Sunday afternoon in a tri-meet hosted by Rutgers against the Scarlet Knights and West Virginia at Jersey Mike's Arena.
 
The Quakers totaled a 194.475 to finish the meet in first place. Rutgers scored a 196.875 to cruise to a victory while the Mountaineers had a 196.550 to take second.
 
Penn ends the 2023 regular season with an overall record of 11-15.
 
BEAM | Penn 48.600
Two Quakers led off the day with scores of 9.8 and above with McCaleigh Marr (9.825) and Kiersten Belkoff (9.800). Alisha Werlen totaled a score of 9.750 to finish in third of the group, while Campbell Marr tallied a 9.725. Kristen Kuhn scored a 9.500, Skyelar Kerico a 9.075.
 
FLOOR | Penn 48.700
Sara Kenefick anchored Penn with a 9.800, the team's best score of the rotation. Lassiter and Emma Davies both earned marks of 9.750, while Alyssa Rosen and Ariyana Agarwala had scores of 9.700. Carly Oniki rounded out the field with a 9.625.
 
VAULT | Penn 48.775
Belkoff recorded the Quakers' lone 9.8 with a 9.875 on vault, followed by Agarwala and Kerico's scores of 9.750 and Lassiter's 9.725. Rose DeBarberie notched a mark of 9.675 while Campbell Marr tallied a 9.625.
 
BARS | Penn 48.400
Kerico had a solid performance on uneven bars with her 9.825 and Lassiter wowed the crowd with her score of 9.800. Following up those two were Sara Kenefick (9.725), Oniki (9.625), McCaleigh Marr (9.425) and Kristen Kuhn (8.050).
 
Quaker Notemeal­
*Kiersten Belkoff finished in a tie for fifth place overall on vault (9.875).
*Skyelar Kerico found herself in a third-place on bars (9.825).
*Kerico made her first appearance on balance beam in a month and a half, competing in three events for the Quakers as she returns back from injury.
*On balance beam, McCaleigh Marr was tied for seventh (9.825).
*Sara Kenefick was eighth for the floor exercise with her score of 9.800.
 
Up Next
Penn will look to defend its Gymnastics East Conference Championships crown when it heads to Williamsburg, Va. next Saturday, hosted by William & Mary. The first session at Kaplan Arena will start at noon with the second session getting started at 6 p.m.
