Patterson Tabbed Second-Team All-American For Indoor 800m

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships kicked off on Friday in New Mexico, as sophomore Bronwyn Patterson of the University of Pennsylvania track and field team earned a Second-Team All-America nod in the 800m.

In the national semifinals on Friday night at the Albuquerque Convention Center, Patterson took ninth out of 16 competitors with a time of 2:04.63 in the 800m. She missed qualifying for the finals by just .09 seconds, earning second-team honors.

Her successful indoor season concludes as the Ivy League champion in the 800m, clocking a time of 2:04.54 at Ivy Heps at Dartmouth two weeks ago. She set the new meet record and facility record with the time, as well as moving up to second in program history.

Patterson and the Quakers turn their attention to the outdoor season, opening up at Franklin Field on Saturday, March 18 for the Penn Challenge.
