How It Happened
The Lions got out to a strong start, building up a nine point lead in the opening four minutes. Obi was a catalyst early in the frame, hitting a three in the first minute to give Penn a one-point advantage and scored the first seven points for the Quakers. She continued with back-to-back assists to Caldwell and Padilla to cut the deficit to 10 with 1:43 left in the quarter.

Columbia scored once more, but Padilla answered with a buzzer-beating floater down the lane to close out the first.

The second quarter continued to remain in the favor of the Lions, pushing their lead to 19 points, but Stina Almqvist and Padilla tacked on five points to close out the half for the Quakers to get within 14 before Columbia's Abbey Hsu connected on a three.

The Quakers trailed 41-24 at the break with Obi and Padilla scoring 18 of Penn's 24 points.

A closer third was only a five-point difference between the two squads but was still in the favor of Columbia, as the Lions kept a steady 20-point advantage that remained through the rest of the game.
