Honor Roberts tallied her first two career goals in the game's final three minutes, but ultimately came up a bit short as the University of Pennsylvania field hockey team fell at Villanova, 3-2, Sunday afternoon.

The Quakers (6-6) see their three-game win streak come to a halt, going 2-1 at week's end, while the Wildcats (8-5) to earn their fourth straight home win.

*Despite the result, Penn still led the way in shots, 20-15. Villanova finished with the edge in shots on goal, 12-9.

Honor Roberts registered Penn's third individual multi-goal of the season, joining
Livia Loozen (3 vs. Georgetown on Sept. 8) and
Allison Kuzyk (2 vs. Yale on Sept. 22).

*Kuzyk's streak of seven consecutive games with a goal came to an end Sunday, but with an assist of Roberts' first tally, she extended her point streak to eight in a row. Kuzyk now has a team-high 19 points through 12 games played.

The Quakers had one shot on goal with two minutes left in the first quarter, but ultimately finished the period tied at 0-0.

Penn started the second stanza with a
Livia Loozen shot that was saved by the Villanova keeper, but two minutes later, the Wildcats broke through with a goal to go up, 1-0.

Frederique Wollaert made a save with eight minutes to go as the 'Cats entered the locker room with a 1-0 advantage.

Penn increased the offensive pressure in the third quarter, outshooting Villanova, 9-4, in the frame. However, the Wildcats doubled up their score with a tally seven minutes into the period.

Wollaert made two early fourth-quarter stops, but Villanova managed to get a third score on the 14th goal of the year for Meghan Mitchell, now leading 3-0.

Honor Roberts almost single-handedly brought the Quakers back to life with two goals in a span of two minutes—off assists from
Allison Kuzyk,
Emily Stafford and
Julia Ryan—but with just one minute remaining, Villanova milked the remainder of the clock to come out on top, 3-2.
