How it Happened
Although the Big Green had an early shot that went off the post in the opening minutes, it was the Quakers who got on the board first.
In the 15th minute Capdevila was able to net one home from distance, as she gave the Quakers the 1-0 lead from beyond the 18-yard box.
Penn would head into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead, also outshooting Dartmouth 6-2.
The Big Green would bring pressure in the opening minutes of the second half, but Gladu was able to make one of her eight saves on the afternoon.
At the 53rd minute mark Dartmouth was able to get one past Gladu and the Penn backline. Hannah Curtin was there for the initial shot and Aleena Seales cleaned it up after Gladu made a diving attempt and didn't get a clean save.
With the match now tied, Penn continued to put pressure on the Dartmouth defense with Leschly getting a clean look on frame in the 62nd minute.
Gladu faced 11 more shots in the second half compared to the first, where the Big Green attempted nine shots on frame, including this opportunity in the 78th minute.
With just over six minutes remaining Lucas was able to serve a pass on frame, but Glass could not direct her shot on frame.
Although the Quakers surrendered their first half lead, they were able to collect their second conference point in the Ivy League standings with the draw.
Quotables
"A tale of two halves. We need to be better in the second half of matches. It was great to see Magali score her first goal in front of her family who was in town." -
