UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team recorded its sixth-best score in program history with a 194.900 and a second-place finish at the Penn State quad meet Friday evening at Rec Hall.

The host Nittany Lions took first with a 196.000, while LIU finished third (194.15) and Southern Connecticut State placed fourth (187.575).

BEAM | Penn 48.825
The Quakers started the night off with a solid session on the balance beam. It was a tie between
McCaleigh Marr and
Skyelar Kerico with identical scores of 9.825.
Kiersten Belkoff scored a 9.800 to finish third, with
Samantha Wu getting a 9.725 and
Kristen Kuhn scoring a 9.600.
Sara Kenefick opened up her meet with a 9.500 on the beam.

FLOOR | Penn 48.725
Marissa Lassiter had her best routine of the season so far with a 9.800, narrowly beating out teammate Kenefick (9.775).
Isabel Song had a 9.750, while Kerico scored a 9.725 and
Ariyana Agarwala clocked in at 9.675. Belkoff rounded out the group with a score of 9.600.

VAULT | Penn 48.900
The vault is where the Quakers excelled on Friday as Kerico finished tied for the lead with two Penn Staters at 9.850. Belkoff had a 9.800 with Agarwala finishing closely behind at 9.775. Kenefick and Lassiter followed each other up with scores of 9.750 and 9.725, respectively, while
Olivia VanHorn made her season debut with a score of 9.700.

Penn closed the evening on the uneven bars, and while registering its lowest score of the night, still put forth a strong effort to seal second place. Freshman
Carly Oniki led the way with a score of 9.750, while Song had a 9.725 to place second of the group. Kerico (9.675), Kenefick (9.650) and
Zara Gazdak (9.650) went back-to-back-to-back to finish third, fourth and fifth on the team.
Sarah Penuela-Wermers scored a 9.025 to end the night.
