PHILADELPHIA – Eight wrestlers from the 20th-ranked University of Pennsylvania wrestling team have earned national recognition in the latest round of rankings released this week. The Quakers are represented in eight weight classes as the team prepares to head out west for a Sunday dual at #20 Stanford. As a team, the Red and Blue received national rankings from Flo-wrestling (#20), Intermat (#21) Wrestling Insider Newsmag (#22), Wrestlestat (#27), and are receiving votes in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Top-25.  
 
Individual rankings are from Amateur Wrestling News, Flo-wrestling, Intermat, Wrestlestat, The Open Mat and Wrestling Insider Newsmag.   

Seniors Anthony Artalona (157), Carmen Ferrante (141), Ben Goldin (285),  and Doug Zapf (149), juniors Michael Colaiocco (133), and Cole Urbas (197), and sophomores Ryan Miller (125) and Nick Incontrera (174) are all ranked in the most recent collegiate wrestling rankings.  

Colaiocco is the lone Penn grappler with single-digit rankings. The junior is ranked #9 by Wrestlestat, Amateur Wrestling News, Intermat, Wrestling Insider Newsmag, and The Open Mat. Joining Colaiocco with top 10 rankings is Zapf, who is ranked #10 by Amateur Wrestling News, Flo-wrestling, Intermat, Wrestlestat, and The Open Mat. Cole Urbas reentered the Intermat rankings for 197 at #33.

The Red and Blue will hit the road for a west coast dual at Stanford (Jan. 15) and then will return to The Palestra for a Friday night dual against Lehigh (Jan. 20). Buy tickets here for the Lehigh dual.
