Maeve Stiles had a strong performance on Friday at the 48th annual Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh, taking 15th to lead the University of Pennsylvania cross country teams in all four races they competed in.

*In just her second race of the season, Stiles continues to impress on the course. Her first race of the season at Penn State, she took fifth place on the 6K course in a time of 21:12.9. On Friday at Lehigh, she dropped that 6K time by over minute for a sub-20-minute time of 19:57.3 for 15th place out of 417 competitors.

*Senior captain Bader posted a career-best time on the 6K course, clocking 20:41.1 for 80th place.

*Murphy, in her second collegiate race, contributed to the scorers again, crossing the finish line third for the Quakers with a time of 21:01.3.

*Throop led the men's team in the gold race with a 52nd place finish, clocking a time of 23:40.7 on the 8K course, a new personal record for the sophomore.

*Senior captain Keehan, who took 18th at Spiked Shoe in the season opener, was the second scorer for the Quakers on Friday, taking 70th with a time of 23:48.3, also a career-best time.

*Dagane (23:54.4), Johnson (23:56.9), and Klanke (24:22.1) were all close behind the two Penn frontrunners to wrap up the scoring group.

*In the open races, Hassman led the Quakers with a ninth-place finish on a time of 21:52.3. She was closely followed by Morganti with a time of 22:05.5 for 22nd.

The Quakers will take a week off before making a drive to the south for the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville on Saturday, October 15.
