PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team hosted the three-day Penn Invitational this weekend at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Center, competing against six other Division I programs. The Quakers took on William and Mary on Friday, the joint team of Dartmouth and Drexel on Saturday, and finished off with Liberty on Sunday. Temple and Princeton were the two teams at the event Penn did not face this weekend.

Penn highlights for the weekend included Kevin Zhu and Kian Vakili both finishing the weekend 3-0 in singles play, with Baylor Sai going 2-1; for the freshman Vakili, this was his first event as a Quaker. In doubles action, the team of Sai and Zach Smith won the two matches they played together, as did the team of Edoardo Graziani and Zhu.

Next up on the calendar for first-year head coach David DiLucia is the Princeton Fall Invite, starting this Thursday, September 22 and scheduled to end Sunday, September 25.
