Bronwyn Patterson cruised to a victory on Friday evening, guiding the University of Pennsylvania cross country teams to a successful trip to the Main Line Invitational at Haverford. The women earned a first-place team finish, while the men took fourth.

*Patterson, with her best collegiate finish, cruised to a victory by 15 seconds with a time of 17:31.5 on the three-mile course. She finished ahead of teammate Baeyens, who crossed at 17:46.5.

*Babski and Cota, who is in her first collegiate race, finished together in eighth and ninth with time of 18:06.5 and 18:08.7, respectively.

*Obbineni rounded out the scorers for the women's team with a time of 19:07.7.

*The men's team was paced by two freshmen in their first collegiate races. Fortuna finished in 15th on the four-mile course with a time of 20:08.6, while Fernando took 23rd with a time of 20:35.8.

*Idhammar crossed with Fernando, taking 24th with a time of 20:36.6.

*Going (20:49.0) and King (21:04.0) wrapped up the Quaker scoring in 30th and 38th, respectively.

UP NEXT
The Quakers are back to work on Friday, September 30, traveling to the annual Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University. The men are set to go off at 9:30 a.m., and the women follow at 10:15 a.m.
