How It Happened
The Quakers opened the scoring with an unassisted finish by Cumiskey three minutes into the game.

The Big Red responded with back-to-back finishes until Moon connected with Lexi Edmonds to draw the game even, 2-2, with 4:37 left in the first frame.

Cornell put together its first of two three-goal runs at the end of the first into the second to grab a 5-2 advantage, but Penn shot right back into the game with back-to-back goals by Cumiskey and Brandt. Cumiskey's goal came off a feed by Stadler, while Aly Feeley dished off her free-position attempt to Brandt in the middle of the fan for the second goal.

The Quakers trailed by just one at the half, 5-4, but that was as close as they would get to the lead the rest of the way. The Big Red used a 6-3 third quarter to extend their advantage to four to carry into the last quarter. The third saw goals by Keeley Block, Brandt, and Miles.

The fourth quarter started strong for Penn, scoring twice to cut the deficit to two. Chloe Hunter went unassisted at the 10:49 mark and Brandt capped off her hat trick for the day with 7:22 left. However, Cornell answered with two straight of its own to hold out for the 13-9 decision.
