The Penn-Brown Series
*The Quakers are 24-34 all-time against the Bears, but won both of the meetings in 2019 the last time these teams played each other. That season, Penn won the regular-season meeting in Providence, 16-9, snapping a three-game losing streak to Brown. The Quakers then escaped with a 13-12 victory in an Ivy League Tournament semifinal in New York City en route to the Ivy Tourney title that season.

*This is just Penn's third game this season against a team not ranked in the USILA Top 10. That said, the Bears are receiving votes in that poll as well as in the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

Penn Men's Lacrosse By The Numbers
1 * Unbeaten teams in Ivy League play through three weeks. That would be Harvard, which beat Brown and Dartmouth in the first two weeks. The Crimson—who had the bye and beat Colgate last Saturday—are at Cornell on Saturday. In the other Ivy game this weekend, Yale is at Dartmouth.

2 * Penn players who were named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America: senior middie Sam Handley (first-team All-America) and sophomore defenseman Brendan Lavelle (third-team All-America).

3 * Overtime games already this season for Penn: a 14-13 win over Duke on February 26; a 21-20 loss at Princeton on March 19 to open Ivy League play; and last Saturday's 12-11 loss at Yale.

3 * Goals scored by Penn in the final seconds of games already this season. Shipley tied the Duke game with two seconds left, then a week later won the Penn State game with one second left. A week after that, Dylan Gergar scored at Villanova with one second left to give the Quakers an 8-7 win over the Wildcats.

3 * Penn players who have earned spots on the USILA Division I Team of the Week already this season: Gergar on March 1, Lavelle on March 15, and Handley on March 22.

4.33 * Goals per game scored by Cam Rubin in three Ivy League contests, tops among Ivy players.

4.33 * Assists per game dished out by Handley in three Ivy League contests, tops among Ivy players.

5 * Ivy League teams in this week's USILA Top 11: Princeton (4), Yale (5), Cornell (6), Penn (8), and Harvard (11). The rest of the top 10 has three Big Ten programs, two ACC programs, and a Big East program.

7 * Consecutive saves made last Saturday by Patrick Burkinshaw as Penn held Yale scoreless for the final 23:45 of regulation.

7.33 * Points per game recorded by Handley in three Ivy League contests, tops among Ivy players.

8 * Penn's ranking in both this week's USILA national coaches' poll and the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

8 * Goals scored by Penn on extra man offense, out of eight opportunities, to start Ivy League play (5 at Princeton, 3 vs. Cornell); the streak ended in the second half of the Quakers' game with the Big Red.

8 * Assists by Handley against the Tigers, one shy of the single-game program record held since 1969 by Richard Bennett (set against Drexel).

10.0 * Penn's assists per game in Ivy League play, tops among the Ancient Eight programs.

13 * Players who have scored this season for Penn, led by Gergar who has 21 tallies. Handley and Rubin have 16 each while Shipley has ten.

20 * Goals scored by Penn in its loss to Princeton three weeks ago; it marked the first time in program history that the Quakers reached the 20-goal mark in a game and lost.

25.3 * Penn's points per game in Ivy League play, tops among the Ancient Eight programs.

41 * Total goals scored in that Princeton game, the most ever in a game in program history.

72.4 * Face-off win percentage by Jamie Zusi against Cornell (21/29); overall, he has a 51.6 win percentage on the X this season.
