*Penn was consistent on shot attempts, putting 21 of its 27 on target in the game.

*A tight draw control game had the Tigers slightly edge out the Quakers, 17-15. Kennon Moon and Maria Themelis led the way with a combined 11 of the 15.

*Themelis led all scorers in the contest with a career-high four goals. She has scored seven goals in a two-game stretch after registering her first career hat trick last Saturday against Brown.

*Anna Brandt and Madison Jiranek each had hat tricks as well. Brandt has scored three goals in four games this season, while totaling 10 goals over the past four games. Jiranek, in just her third game back, has put together back-to-back three-point performances.

*Bella Kehoe scored her second goal of her career, her first since the opening game of the season against Delaware.

*Krissy Kowalski tended the net for the final 44:13 of the game, making eight saves.

How It Happened
It was quick offense for the Quakers off the first draw, as Themelis put away her first two of the game in the opening two minutes to put Penn ahead 2-0.

Princeton got on the board at 9:29, but Brandt answered two minutes later on an unassisted finish to push the Quakers back out to their largest lead of the game, 3-1.

Through the rest of the first quarter and into the second, the Tigers hit a five goal stretch to take a 6-3 advantage before Jiranek and Brandt went back-to-back to cut the deficit to one with 9:58 remaining in the half.

As time ticked away, the two squads traded a pair of goals before the break. Princeton scored twice, then Jiranek and Themelis went two straight in the closing two minutes, as Penn trailed by just one at the half, 8-7.

The game of runs continued in the third quarter, as the Tigers hit three to open the frame and the Quakers responded with three of their own off finishes by Kehoe and Chloe Hunter twice. Before the end of the third, Princeton scored one more time to carry a 12-10 advantage into the final quarter.

Themelis got the scoring started in the last frame, tacking on her fourth and final goal of the game to get Penn within one. However, the Tigers found the back of the net twice with 9:03 remaining in regulation to build their lead back to three.

The Quakers didn't go away. Minutes later, Niki Miles found Jiranek to cap off her hat trick, then Taylyn Stadler did the same for Brandt with 5:02 left to get it back to a one-goal game.

The ensuing draw was won by the Tigers, getting two shots off before their third found the back of the net in the final minute. Penn had two more opportunities in the closing 47 seconds, but the one shot went wide and the other was pulled in by the Princeton goalkeeper.

Up Next
The Quakers continue on the road on Saturday, making the trip to Hanover, New Hampshire for a league matchup with Dartmouth. First draw is set for noon.
